Only time I have a problem being ganked is when the person killing me does it over and over. Kill me once? Okay fine, gj, you killed a lvl 40 with your 80. Yay you. Second time is a little more annoying. When it gets to be over and over again is the only time I'll get "mad" about it. But want to know the wonders about this game? There is ALWAYS another place to quest at after the initial starting area for your race. Just go somewhere else for a bit, work on professions, or something. Simple as that.

they don't ban for it because theirs nothing wrong with it. just because you don't agree with it doesn't make it wrong.

there's a big difference in ganking or multiboxing compared to hacking/cheating. for 1 ganking and multiboxing are completely allowed.

This is funny, because this topic came up in the Anime Log Horizon.

Players were PKing lower levels because it was easy and a cheap way to get gold and items. Which just like here doesn't make any sense because the items and amount of gold would be useless just like you don't get a HK for doing it in WoW.

Ultimately, However, in Akihabara, it is considered as going too far and is banned in the low levels of the city. It was unanimously agreed by the Round Table Alliance, that PKing players under level 50 was pointless.

In that meeting the argument came up that it wasn't against the rules of the game, and the counter was, Just because something isn't against the rules, doesn't mean its against the law. Law is something that is recognized by players. Its similar to ninja looting, its not against the game rules, but it is against the games law.

It all comes down to enforcement, even if everyone in this thread agreed to do no more PKing of lowbies, we would still need a way to enforce it.

I suppose each faction could create a enforcers guild of high level pvp players that kill any player that breaks these laws, and anyone who breaks these laws would immediately be thrown out of the guild. But you would have to give the players some kind of payment to Play Guard.

Pretty sure i'm just rambling at this point. But would be interesting if we could actually accomplish a cross faction no lowbie pking law enforcement guild.

ninja looting is banable with proof. not a great comparison.

ah, but there is nothing in the game that prevents it, its the game masters and players that make ninja looting illegal, saying that lowbie pk is allowed and isn't against the rules is only because we haven't made a rule against it.

My point was that we collectively agree that Ninja looting is illegal it became a law we enforce, even tho the game allows it, we enforce it by contacting GM's , If you collectively agree that lowbie PKing is illegal and collectively enforce with or without the GM's help, it then that too will become a law of the game.

no it doesn't. without it being bannable the most it would ever be would be an agreement among some of the player base. until there are consequences for doing it we can and will continue to kill lowbies. and staff have already said there's nothing wrong with it so goodluck on that 1.

There are worse things than being banned, for example, if the community came together we could put together a police force that responds to high level Gankers killing Lowbies, show up and take out the ganker until he gives up. If the community banded together we could blacklist these players from being in guilds.

A collective shun of a ganker would be far more effective than a Ban, Bans they will just change IP and create a new account. big deal, Actually being known for having a bad reputation would be far more effective, and this is something that the players can do.

Heck we could even right a Add-on that tracks and displays a persons reputation in pvp and pve, and have it do minuses to the rep if it sees a pk with no HK, enforcement isn't the problem, its if the community wants to enforce it or not, that is the problem.

People can make alt characters specifically for ganking lowbies, and wouldn't care less about bad reputation. You can never stop the ganking, you can delay it for a bit but you can never stop it.

Im already doing this as a Horde in STV. I warn Hordes not to touch alliances and I defend Grom Gol from lamer 80s who come there to kill low level players.

It would be nice if an alliance player would be there too, there was an alliance paladin who was killing Hordes that harass alliances, and I commend him for it. I did the same to alliances who touch hordes. Im either at Nessingwary Camp or Grom Gol.

People kill lower level players because they were killed themselves. They were ganked while levelling, so when they are levelled they gank for revenge. There's nothing wrong with it, however Blizzard were really dumb to design them game in a way where a low level has no chance to fight back at all. Even a char 5 levels higher than you is very difficult to hit, let alone 50 levels higher and then combine that with exponential growth scaling makes for an unsatisfying WPvP experience unless fighting players your own level. Since joining this server a few days ago, I have been levelling with no gear up until TBC zones, even then I had only white gear with mostly missing slots and I was getting ganked a lot, sometimes by the same player several times, usually while I was already engaging mobs and on low health. I managed to get revenge on a couple of them but it was hard as I had no gear and I was lower level.
When I am full wrathful I am going to get shadowmourne and I will spawncamp every alliance player on my server with my guild. I will make you all so miserable, you will never want to log in again :)

if people go that far to stop us i'm simply going to sit back and laugh at how many damn care bears play this game. and it would just make me kill more lowbies solely to piss that group off and then i'd laugh some more.

I killed a lvl 70 warlock on my 63 warlock as well as getting them killed by guards at the horde version of Honor Hold (can't remember it's name atm)

It was difficult, the first time I feared them into guards, 2nd time I ended up killing them. And all I wanted to do was make some god damn bags lol. After that, they left me alone.

People complaining about being killed in a PvP realm are either trolling or just really mind-numbingly stupid. Complaining about being killed in a PvP realm is the same as an person from the army complaining about being shot during a war.

Good to see it pisses people off, even more of an inspiration to gank lowbies.
