Pally or Warlock

I know those topics are loved by everyone..
But my experience with Wotlk is very limited, never had a max lvl character on that expac. So I would like to know about the viability, but most importantly the fun of those classes.
I am somebody who will mostly play solo for the leveling. My prefered roles were always Dps and to some extent tanking, but I am open to learn more.
A complex class is what I would enjoy, something with a high skill ceiling.

And if you want a complex class with a high skill ceiling, a paladin is the exact opposite of what you're looking for. They require little effort to be good at and are everywhere.
