WotLK Icy Chill & Deathfrost - 80 PvP

Hi Warmane

Is it allowed to exploit enchants such as Icy Chill and Deathfrost in level 80 pvp? Since I have reported ALOT players exploiting it in arena's already without getting banned/punished, I was wondering if it is allowed.

Could someone make it official? I want to start exploiting these enchants myself if it is allowed.

Can we get an official note that these weapon enchants are highly bannable? What with players who use this enchant to get an advantage in arenas, will they have their arena teams deleted?

@OP. Unless the rule has changed recently, using either in PvP is an exploit and is bannable. You can report them via a PM to a GM and they will be dealt with accordingly.

What exactly is the exploit? Are these enchants old enchants and shouldn't be working at lvl80 or?

The exploit is that they should not proc at all against lvl 73+ targets.

Players are exploiting this and getting away with the "I didn't know that because it's nowhere stated on the rules" card and ban reports are answered with a "Thank you, this player will be taken care of" while you see them logging in every day waiting for the part where that player should be taken care of.

It feels like the Warmane staff thinks PvP on Lordaeron is a joke, they might be right about it.

According to Aldtharios, Icy Chill works just fine. So amm, no bans I guess?

Theres a difference between the 2 enchants, Deathfrost clearly stats in the tooltip that it doesn't work on people 73+, icy chill only says it has lowered effect for people 60+ so yes icy chill is supposed to apply debuff and it works just fine.
