Tribute to Deathwing

Everyone is talking about the Icecrown realm, somehow many forget the fact that Deathwing will be no more. Say with few words, what will you remember the most from Deathwing and what is the last thing you do (or did) before the realm shuts off?

Years ago my first Lich King on 10 normal was pretty big thing. Now I end up farming Anzu as every day, he is not letting me have the mount in Deathwing.

As someone who has been around this server since early 2010, and has had a bit of experience with Deathwing at regular intervals, I am both happy and sad that Deathwing will cease to exist. Happy because the part of the Deathwing community I got to interact with, I disliked a great deal. Sad because I'm now going to have to share a realm with them.

I remember my very first LK 25 man kill... we were 100% sure that we wiped, but he died from the DoTs and everyone started screaming on raidcall and laughing, it was so epic.



Nowdays killing LK or farming ICC HC is so trivial, back then even normal mode was a serious buisness... I miss those times.

Deathwing is finally dead Time of death 6:00AM ST 20th May 2016. Had good times there in PvP and PvE. RIP.

What I remember deathwing for:
- saving names for the future possible merge that got "stolen" on ragnaros
- saving my ragnaros name as duplicates so no one could steal mine.

2010 molten Deathwing till 2016 warmane Deathwing is a long time. The feels.

From the days when ICC full run was Lady and Marrow to days of farming LOD 5 times a week, RIP old home, lot of time spend there , will not be forgotten...

It's hard for me to say what have been my best moments on Deathwing since I have played there from 2011 until the merge. It's been the realm where everything started for me, right after I left Retail in 2011 cause I disliked Cataclysm. So yeah, it's been my first private realm I've played on, there would be a ton of stuff to say about Deathwing, but I'd rather not to "fish up" old times, you know, nostalgia is a bad thing.
