    >1 key macro with arcane shot and without steady/chimera

    I'm confused.
it was just a quick example, was at work, I did not include all of the abilities, ofc SS and CS are included in the rotation. As said before - stick all of your abilities in to one macro, disable error reporting within the macro so that the errors do not bother you and roll ahead. you do not even need a castsequence macro as you would have needed in cata, for example.

and mana potions, well, not really, learn to manage your mana and drop an occasional viper sting on an add or something.

I'd like to think that arcane mages would be the typical innervate dump for most of the druids in the raid if the fight would be a typical Patchwerk fight and a number chase...

I am a little confused as to the multiple manapots throughout a fight. since when a mana pot is considered to be a dps boost to an agility pot?

it is still one pot per fight, apart from a pre-pot or am I missing something?

    Such a compelling argument!

feign death resets the mana potion CD. you can Negate the need for Viper sting and Maximize DPS.

    so...

    Yes.

You don't need to use either, except in rare circumstances. It is a lot better to use a speed potion instead of a mana one, unless you know for sure you are going oom. So. No. And this is also why potions does not make or break our DPS at the moment.

no, honestly, guys... no need to replace serpent sting with viper sting on the main target. there are enough fights with adds in them, with adds that are casters - switch target with a macro: /target [add name] /cast viper sting /targetlasttarget

done. it will just cost you one GCD. why use freaking feign death, which is one full gcd, then use a mana potion, which is another gcd and then forfeit it to really dps important potions, like agility. and then just calculate how many times you will use these two gcd's and think how this will affect your fight.

yeah, you will have to learn the names of the adds and actually change the details of the macro prior to any fight, but that is not too much to ask for preparation. it is just how you manage yourself...

if it is a meter topping fight, just make friends with a druid and ask for an innervate as you will anyway just compete amongst yourselves.
