Hopefully I'm wrong, but I think I remember that WOTLK healing was a complete spam-fest. Mana seemed endless so spell selection wasn't really an issue. Is this correct?
Is the PVE tuned in a way that requires a more skilled approach to heals?
I'm looking to begin a new character on Wargames (Lordaeron), so I appreciate the information!
For PUG raids: The tank gets hit by the buffed raid boss his/her remaining hp would be near 50%. If the tank fails to receive any form of healing within 2 seconds he will die, which would most likely leads to a wipe. So yeah for tank healers ( Holy Paladins), it is spamming holy light.
For Guild raids: healing requires coordination with your tank and fellow healers. Like, tanks announcing their use of defensive cooldowns and tanks demanding defensive cooldowns from the healer like Hand of Sacrifice, Pain Suppression, etc.
