Boom, 2500g gone, not even sure how it's even possible. I'm a new player who just hit lvl 80 3 days ago, this absolutely destroyed me, I worked so hard for that gold.
Is there anything that can be done?

There is a prompt that comes up when accepting C.O.D.s I would suggest you read pop-ups like that when opening mail.
Been playing this game for over a decade, never once been scammed by anyone. If you see something suspicious, don't just click without reading it.

I had no idea buying things through mail was even a thing, I was clearing out my mailbox, sorry...
Nonetheless, I am hoping I can recover that gold somehow.

Look, if I don't get my gold back, it is going to suck, a lot. Can I deal with it? Yes.
If I was a warmane veteran I probably wouldn't care much at all. I was not aware such a thing could happen at all.
If I can somehow get back my gold, I will try. Please, I don't need your negative assumptions or your condescending remarks, you're not the voices of the admins. This goes for a few others who posted here.

Actually, being a member of the Staff, yes, I gave you an official answer, which wasn't condescending or making "negative assumptions." You won't be given any gold back by the Staff. It's our regular procedure. Even if you had made a proper report instead, all that would have happened is the player be banned (which already happened). No items or gold are returned.
