How to farm rep with broken RDF ?

Hi, just a quick question regarding gearing at level 80.

Every guide I read advises to start with reputation farming in order to get some starter items. And they all mention buying the tabard, then farming RDF normal and HC to get rep.
However, the RDF tool is not working properly, so am I supposed to do quests with the factions until I get enough rep ? Or just painfully find RDF groups in /global ?

Rdf works as long as you have 5 people in your group. Use global, form a group, queue.
