Hi! Me and my friend are gonna start playing on Lordaeron. We are both arena/pvp fanatics and got a couple of questions we want answered before we create our characters.
1. Which side has more players, horde or alliance?
2. Is the arena scene active? What season is it?
3. Do we really need to level 1-80 with 1x experience rate?
4. Is the server blizzlike or have there been changes to anything? (I.e class balance)

1. Roughly the same. Horde has shorter BG queues as far as I know.
2. 2v2 is active. 3v3 is playable, but could be a bit more active, hopefully 3v3 will get more and more active like it has since the start of arena. 5v5 is dead. It is currently Furious season.
3. Yes and No. You can buy a max level character, but it costs a lot, it costs so much that most people prefer leveling 1-80 with x1 rates. Other than that, if you want to play on Lordaeron, then you get to enjoy the joy of leveling 1-80 with x1 rates.
4. Server is blizzlike, but not blizzclone. There are some design features. The server is "hardcore server". For example. There is no heirlooms, there is no random dungeon finder and raids are buffed to make them much harder than on blizz servers. You can't buy levels. You can buy other people characters but a lvl 80 costs around 500-1000 euro. :)

Yes it's run by warmane, so it's not cheating.
Yes some characters are very expensive. If you are lucky you might find a level 80 character with 100-150 €, but then it will be a naked character with 0g, so gearing and getting the character running will take some time anyway.

Ok i saw it, but it "trade", you buy characters with coins, there is no way to get cash from that?
