Paid for a character boost on Ragnaros, character isnt on icecrown?

Basically back in December of last year i donated to gain a character boost which was used on a char on the Rag realm and after that i decided to take a break for a while. I have started playing again only to find out that the char doesn't exist any more on the new merged realm and was wondering if there is anyway to get a new char boost onto the new realm?

After that you should be allowed to transfer the chars if you were inactive
