Welcome to The Hypothetical Army
Hello, welcome and thank you for taking the time to give this a read. We have made some changes to the outline and way we will progress, so please read this in it's entirety.
The Hypothetical Army began with a simple idea. We wanted to start a friendly, well-meaning guild full of like-minded people who want to progress through raids the way it was intended while keeping a positive outlook. Any level 80 with a good sense of humor, a desire to learn and would want to start with a guild that is out to help the community and our members should continue to read on! If you're not interested in our ideals, if you love ganking lowbies or if you're just an argumentative jerk off, this isn't the guild for you. If you're interested once you hit 80, drop us a line so we can discuss raid readiness and your role!
A Brief History
My name is Urang and I founded the guild with my long time quest mate, and wife, Starsapphire. Both of us, like most of you, were retail players at one point. I myself began my adventure during Vanilla, just after patch 1.9. Starsapphire began her journey at the start of TBC. We ran a raiding guild from TBC till the end and plan on running this guild with the same fundamentals. We worked hard to grow with our members and respect each and everyone members opinion. No voice goes unheard or unnoticed and we expect the same high standards from our members, especially our officers.
Our ultimate goal with this guild is to complete all of the WOTLK raids. We know the importance of a guild growing together and learning to rely on their guildies to their left and right to support them. You could grind heroics all day, buy gear and dive straight into ICC, or donate and skip the fuss, but we want to start fresh, get the satisfaction of completing these raids, learn and develop into better players, and help enrich the Warmane community!
We are not a leveling guild. We are not a hardcore PVP guild, though we may do some PVP if the members would enjoy it. We want to raid, set up guild achievement events like finishing raids from Vanilla and TBC or doing For the Alliance. We firmly believe in doing as much for yourself as possible and relying on team mates during the appropriate times. We do have a guild bank set up and it does have it's own set of restrictions, but we aren't selfish and we expect our members to display the same characteristics. We want to watch you develop and show an appreciation for the game and the process ;)
We also want to get to know our members. all of our guild information and events will be posted in a Facebook group JUST for the members, so expect to join when you contact us in game.
Raids
As we said our end game is to be in [color-=white]ICC[/color], preferably with two 10-man groups and one 25-man. Before we reach that point, we will be progressing as intended. We will have weekly VOA runs, we want to have the guild ready for raid weeklies and like we said, some old school raids to take a break from the grind.

We do have Discord and it will be required in any and all raid situations. :D
PVP
We won’t be starting with PVP as a focus for the guild. This is something we would like to do IF the guild has a large enough desire for it. I myself enjoy doing some PVP and would like to enjoy that with our guildies, but if there is no interest in it, I’ve always got my 2s partner :)
Starsapphire and I PVP on a regular basis and would love to see some guildies tag along. Win or Lose we're in it together!
We will be setting up For the Alliance once we have established a good online player base.
Community
In the Warmane community we want to be known as a respectful guild. We discourage name calling and general douchebaggery to the community. We are not here to troll every person in Trade, ninja loot, gank lowbies or be a nuisance to the server. If any of these are part of your normal style while online, then please, this guild is not for you and will result in corrective action, up to but not limited to termination from the guild at the discretion of the officers and leaders.
A little word on ganking.
We believe it is a cheap and unacceptable way to PVP. We have all experienced it, we all hate when it happens to us, so we won’t tolerate the hate spreading. Retaliating AFTER you’ve been ganked by taking that same person out is completely understandable and acceptable. Coming to the aide of others while a leveling area or home city is under attack, is welcomed and appreciated. We know how the factions like the war over certain territories, i.e Nesingwary Camps, Honor Hold attacks, ect, you may intervene as you see fit, but never start the madness.
So, put simply:
If you see anyone in open world, you leave that person to quest.
Be the better person.
Requirements to Join
We are not out concerned with achievements, gearscore or your how long you've played the game.
We are looking for dedicated people who are going to respect the guild and its members while maintaining a willingness to learn, accept criticism and grow. So if you’re level 80, can start a raid at 1am SERVER time (9pm EST), can speak English well and have a desire to learn and better our community, then please message Urang, Mordoom, Dotdotgoose Starsapphire or Excalibra for more information or to get an invite to the guild! We are currently 8/10 of our ICC 10 Team and are looking to start ASAP. We are looking for people who will stick around, be patient, show loyalty and grow with us. We have a great group of friendly people so far with everyone dedicated to the cause. You will find I spend most of my time on Dotdotgoose so send me a pm and join the army!!
