1. Lordaeron DDOS

I had a thought, and was wondering what the rest of you think about it.

How easy would it be for Blizzard/Activision, a large company with lots of resources with a history of hating on private servers, to be behind these DDOS attacks? I mean, how could Warmane fight back? Just a thought.

  2. i doubt a company like blizzard would run the risk of doing something that's completely illegal, especially just to mess with a private server.

  3. If they would mess with a private server , the thing they do is sending letters to the staff of the server to shut it down , or directly contact their provider or host if they can reach them ( this happened with nost , but for me nost staff are pussies by taking that seriously , they could just switch to another provider , easy as that )

I think that was all Nost's decision, not OVH's. OVH has been very good about fighting companies in court and winning when they get sued for not doing more than passing DMCAs on to their clients.

I think Nost basically decided they wanted to be on Blizzard's good side and maybe get jobs at Blizzard.
