1. Tips for survivng??, Ele shaman BGs

The way i see it i cannot elemental mastery + hex cuz it doesn't seem to affect hex at all, then i have my thunderstorm, grounding totem, glyphed stoneclaw totem, and talented earthbind totem (also instant ghost wolf)

When i need an escape i usually drop grounding then stoneclaw then earthbind and ghost wolf, but i can never really escape most of the time due to rogues ms boosts and warrior's charge and mage freezes and dk pulls and pala stuns..etc

So am i just wasting talents and glyph slots for "survivability" that works only 20% of the time or am i doing something wrong?

  2. These cooldown are actually very effective is you use them correctly. E.g. if you manage to ground the stun of a Paladin he has no way of getting back on you.
However these cooldown don't make you invincible and in 1 vs X situations you are still likely to die.

With Hc PvE items being common most classes deal crazy amounts of damage and if you get caught in a bad spot you are as good as dead so it's better to try to avoid damage rather then trying to tank it.

    - try playing with a high amount of resilience ( 1300 or more)
    - use you cooldowns in a smart way ( i know it's a stupid tip)
    - work on your positioning
    - try to stop enemy burst ( Hex, Wind Sheer, Grounding) rather than trying to outburst it
    - there is no shame in playing defensive ( run and heal if you have to)
    - you are not alone against your enemies, avoid 1vs1 or 1vs2+ situation if you have to and play as team

  3. Simply put, those cooldowns are good but require timing and experience to know when to use each one. Some tips are for example after you thunder IMMEDIATELY drop a grounding totem, as most cases a DK will try to DG you or a Pala will try to repentence for example. Also you forgot the help of frost shock and earth shock, they really are quite useful. And wind shear and purge are good defensives in alot of cases too.
Its all about experience my friend, Shaman is about looking ahead of time to what the enemy will do, not following a basic rotation to beat people like some classes.
Plus resil as was said helps alot, for 1v1s or arena I wear 1300 resil normally too and sometimes even bauble of true blood or skeleton key.
I will say engineering does help alot if you want to be a BG hero :D

  4. All these suggestions seem to be pretty nice for arena and more or less warsong gulch, but 8n others like eots and av and sota i need a bigger "oh s***" combo to get out of trouble.

I wanna get engineering for the amazing rocket boots in particular, but it's quite expensive to level so i'll hold a bit on that.

Any tips for big BGs??, do i stack resilience for those??, do i really need more than 75 spell pen??, which glyphs are best?

  5. Well shamans don't have a bigger oh **** combo. You got a knock back, a root, 2 permaslows, a way to nullify any magic spell, a shield, a low cd interrupt, can purge of offensive Cds, can't be slowed and can heal.
That is a lot of spells to work with.

Get 135 spell pen for Paladins and Mages.

    Use Stoneclaw and Thunderstorm glyph.

    Use high resi for BGs.

Free action potion, thunder, rocket boots and trinket if they got a slow on before you drank the free action potion.

  7. Root frostshock, thunderstorm if deathgripped spam lesser heal, Your prob missing a lot of haste to spam heal so gem some

  8. I checked you on the armory, best tip I have is get better gear, with the ****e you have you wont survive vs a 70 twink
