Trade chat should be controlled. No religious talk, no politics, no nationalistic and talk about ethnicity, races, etc... Religious bashing should be heavily punishable, as well as nationalistic, ethnic and etc... Trade chat should be trade chat (talk about trading, professions, game in general) and cleared of the people who got nothing better to do than lose their time aimlessly arguing about topics they probably don't even got any deeper knowledge of. AGREE: YES / NO and WHY?

Even if people push it too far remember: This is a MMORPG. This is the INTERNET.
If you get easily offended with ignorant statements you shouldn't open your Internet browser at all. Either you're able to look aside and ignore it (specially because most of the authors of those ignorant statements just want to be attention whores) or if you feel deeply offended by it write down a report with screenshots about it. Controling something like that is impossible; It doesn't happen in Retail why should it happen in a private community?

Disagreed.
a) All global chats (general/trade/global) get spammed. Whether you like it or not. And I doubt people pay attention to which chat do they post it in as long as others recieve it. They simply dont care.
b) I can't see GMs actually checking every global chat just to make sure everything's all right 24/7.
Therefore
a) this is internet. If you get easily offended, not sure why are you in the chat. If you want chat for trading and there's none trading at the time, leave it.
b) ignore the people who do it for a while. I'm sure they'll end the discussion later. But for now.

I have to disagree as I just hate when people wanna police up someone else's speech. I know it can get out of control at time, but it's one of those things that are better to not take away because I hate to see someone get banned for talking about general world stuff. If someone else is ruining your game play experience there's always the /ignore feature and why Blizzard put it into the game in the first place.
