I feel like it doesn't take enough points to get some of the items in the store for Icecrown. Yes, Icecrown is supposed to be easier the server - but... it is only like 29 points for non heroic T10. IMO points shouldn't even give you the option of getting tier/ICC gear. It should be useful enough for leveling and getting someone to POS/FOS (just to start them off). The way it is set up now is kind of ending the game. People do not have to even work to get high end gear in game if they don't want.

You have to collect points for a whole month for a single item, do you really think people will just wait to get enough points before creating a chracter? When they can get the same gear in way shorter period of time by actually playing the game.

Agree completly with it, it totally kills the immersive gaming. It was ok to vp lesser items but voting for dbw/sts t10 etc is no fun at all. The risk of getting ninjaed, farming for that drop was the point of whole raiding thing. True hc versions are still there to do this but something is missing this way.

For above post, only some items you can get faster than vp but most of them you even farm for months, raiding pugs or raising dkp s. And the items you get easier you wont using vp actually.

Yes. The item they want may not drop in their weekly run. They only get 4 chances a month. All I am saying is I don't think the second best trinket from RS should be something available. I would at least dial it back a bit. You don't have to make it harder to get things, just remove certain things. It would be better that high end gear require donation.

On topic: I can create a character, level him up and hit 5k GS in two weeks. After 1 month I can be pre-HC BiS. In the meantime I will have gotten ONE item from the vote shop. Yes, it's unfair, really. We should be getting more.

I think T10 items should not be available for points. In my case it completely replaces emblem farming. With 2 accounts that get 1.2 and 0.8 points I could make a new character every 2 months and get 4 T10 parts for points. And since they can be upgraded to heroic with marks it makes obtaining heroic items much easier.

most players that are going to be getting that amount of points are going to be older players anyways, who likely have the gold to buy decent boe's even if they didn't use the points. that combined with the fact that by the time you actually gain enough points to buy an item you're probably close to being done farming and have moved into raiding, i just don't see how that hurts anything.

I meant more about gearing alts. And yes, it's more about older players. It's not really about waiting. It's about playing and collecting points for a few months and then deciding to make a new char. In my case it's 1 char per 2 months on average with 2 accounts, I didn't mean 2 months from 0 points til getting items. BoE items have to be replaced with heroic items later when they drop. T10 items can simply be upgraded with marks that are easier to obtain (at least in a PvE guild). Normally getting a heroic T10 item would require farming emblems for weeks and getting normal and heroic marks. With points I instantly get T10 items and set bonuses and only need heroic marks to upgrade them. It affects set items most since normally they require emblem farming to obtain. Getting BoE or other normal items does not make it easier to get heroic items.
