For which expansion tho.
Always pick a prefix for the expansion you're talking about when you create a thread so we know how best to help you.
If it's anything past WotLK, you can't really go that wrong with builds as talents don't matter as much and are hard to mess up. Blood is for tanking, the other 2 are for DPS.
If it's WotLK you're talking about, then all 3 specs can be either tank or DPS. Frost is the classic tank spec, being well rounded with high mitigation and avoidance. Unholy is the hardest to tank with but offers absurd mitigation if played properly and with high avoidance gear (which means outside ICC because of the -20% dodge debuff). Blood is the easiest spec to play, it has low mitigation, low avoidance, but high effective health (HP + armor) and has high self-heals, although most of the time they're overhealing. Most DK tanks you see will be Blood.
As for DPS, all 3 specs work and are viable. Frost is the players' favourite as it was positively bugged for years on Warmane and people are just used to it now. It does a mix of physical and Frost damage, with its main sources of damage being auto-attacks, Obliterate and Frost Strike. Most DK DPSers you see will be Frost. Unholy was broken (and still has some bugs), but it is also playable and viable. It does a mix of physical and Shadow damage, with its main sources of damage being auto-attacks, Scourge Strike and Death Coil. The ghoul is supposed to contribute to your DPS significantly, but its scaling on Warmane is horrible. Blood was heavily bugged to a point where it was not viable at all for DPS, but it is a bit better now (although there is still one remaining bug that plagues it). Blood does mainly physical damage, so this means it only becomes good once you get enough armor penetration gear. Its main sources of damage are auto-attacks and Heart Strike.
Thank you, and yea i ment WotLK. So what you recomend for tank, DPS for the currnet status of Warmane?
well as taralej mentioned, you can play pretty much any spec in any role. But since you said you are "noob" Simple answer would be for Tanking Blood spec, Dps you can either go frost or unholy. Frost will do more damage in general and you will see greater crits, as Unholy you can do almost as same damage as frost spec, but unholy is also more wanted for raids because it provides increased magical damage taken by 13% on targets your diseases are on. but to fully understand what fits you the most, i would recommend reading for example guides to see if the spec you would like to play is fun for you and you would enjoy it.
The great advantage of having a UDK in raids over, say, a balance druid or a warlock is that balance druids and warlocks only apply their magic damage debuff to one target, whereas UDKs apply it to any diseased targets. However, this is irrelevant on bosses.
The other great advantage, which is actually relevant and important on bosses, is that Unholy's debuff also increases disease damage taken, which boosts the damage of Shadow Priests' Devouring Plague and of all other DKs in the raid.
The third advantage is that by having a UDK in the raid, warlocks can use their other curses for higher personal DPS.
All of these mean that a UDK in a 25-man group is very desired and allow for far more group versatility.
