Overall what's the best spec for Endgame PVE?

They are pretty equal. Enh should pull slightly more dps in BiS gear.
When it comes to buffs, totem of wrath shouldnt stack with demonic pact and strength of earth totem shouldnt stack with horn of winter.
P.S. Im not taking warmane bugs into account here because many things will change with the new core.
I agree with Jakkre, but here are some additional thoughts about enh spec:
It is harder to master because it requires some experience: you dont really have a rotation but instead a priority list and you must use more abilities then avarage dps classes. A good addon (like ShockAndAwe) can help you with that.
Elemental is stronger and easier, Enhencament is weaker and much harder (one of the hardest classes in the game), but way more fun
Just another toc hero who stopped playing after louzy performance. I agree with posts above, enha is much harder but does slightly more dps in end game gear. Ele provides more useful buffs for most raid comps though.
Especially here on Warmane both specs do equal DPS with high end gear because for me 1k dps a difference is not а point to say who is better, all is RNG dependent. And more when enha shaman works at times different style of Blizzard. Personally enha shaman never beated my elemental on damage done only over the boss in ICC because is really **** for example on LOD to see enha shaman with over 20k dps and when you see recount 50% on boss and 50% on adds, it's not real dps but all is dependent from the player ofc. As someone said above, let's wait the new core and we will see then.

Ask yourself what you want to play and just go for it. Spec Enha if u like mdps or ele if u`re an rdps kinda guy. The only problem i see here is if u`re into pugging, as enha does not have a bright future in those kind of raids, but if you`re in a guild, dw than, u`ll raid plenty.
With new core fixes Enh spec looks better but still have some bugs (mainly important for PVP). I have decent raiding experience with both specs and can confirm one:
get Ele spec if you going to raiding alot with guilds or pugs (or going BG or 3v3 arena alot) or get Enh spec if you need an ALT for specified guild raiding tasks (or going to do PVP dueling or 2v2 arena alot).
-The PVE Enh spec is the second hardest spec to mastery just after Feral druid's but in return you'll get the same dmg values as Ele spec at some raid encounters.
-The overall performance of Enh spec is lower than Ele. Their dps/dmg will float from encounter to encounter alot.
-The Enh spec talents, glyps, spell are well designed for PVP mechanics like Frost Mages, Destro Locks or Subtlety Rogues have. Their CDs are completely imbalanced with their priority spell list. In any words - just too many strong spells will stay rdy for "toooo" long after CD while you have to cast first priority spell or the are situation while you have just to autoattack for too long because all your spells are on CD or you waiting for 5MS stacks. For example, Ret Paladins also have the priority list on DS, CS, Hammer and Consecration but in 90% of cases always one or max two spells will be rdy to use just after prev priority spell was used (most of their spells will be on CD with one-two available spell TO CAST after each GCD!!!).
