Well... if they charged 15 coins for it, I would buy. Instead, I'll just farm points. The paid service should compensate the free one. That's why most gear is 22 coins and 30 points.
Also, the points service should and do server as a bonus. You can get like 1 pice of gear per month, that's a cool thing. Everyone can play the game almost exactly the same, and you get a free piece of gear to motivate you to keep playing. It's a bonus. Faction change isn't just a bonus, is something that really can change how you play and even if you get the chance to play or not. You know that half of the guilds in this server are divided my country, it's only understandable that people want to play to the ones closer to their home.
Imagine that there aren't many players in your side that 1- speak your language and 2- raid in hours that are reasonable for your country hour-time. Now imagine that you realize that there is another guild on tother side that can give you all of that, but you need to wait a full month to change faction because of burucracy. That sucks...
I don't have much free time so creating another toon isn't an option. Also my char in ally side is decent so it's way better to just change factions.
One way to fix this would be the chance to get negative points for the first faction change. For example, I have 16 points, so I could faction change right now and get -14 points. If a player got his friends on the other side he could start playing with them right away. He would still have to wait the exact same time to have points for gear, so this wouldn't affect the status quo of buying gear with points. I don't see any problem with this aproach, does anyone?
