Within the past week there has been countless lag spikes on Icecrown and Blackrock (the only realms I play), a steady and consistent high MS (300+), DC's and even a website/server crash the other day.
Am I really the first person after a week of this to post about it? Why has not one of the staff addressed it?
Same here, it happens on all realms. I am having ms problem in-game and it all started 7 days ago (Sunday 11 September), before I always had 30 ms and no lag spike.
The first day I had constant 270 ms, I swtiched from GoogleDNS to OpenDNS and it went down to 180ms.
On the next days I got 50-80 ms regardless of which DNS and random lag spike which prevent me from doing Arena.
As you said 2 days ago (maybe yestarday?) I got disconnected like an usual "server crash" but once in-game I found out that only some players got discennected, not everyone.
By doing speed test I can see my connection is fine. By selecting France and German servers my ms is 30.
I have this issue only in-game and since I do not know the real IP of the server I can not do any ping test.
Other players from my country do NOT have this problem so it is not a general "country-issue".
Interesting. Would be nice if we got some info about it.
I did notice some others did not have lag spikes at the same time I did. I'm in US with spikes, my friend was in Serbia with No spikes. However he was having MS issues throughout the week as well just not at the exact same time I was. He too never had more than 30ms until this past week.
The server crash that I speak of most definitely kicked all off. The website was unaccessible for about 30 minutes at least. Perhaps there was another crash that I missed but yea... Its all been teetering on the edge of unplayable and incredibly frustrating for arena and all pvp. Hell, can't even quest with my alt on Icecrown.
