1. RDF Deserter Debuff

    Over half the time I queue for a random dungeon and find a group, it flops because someone (almost always the tank) decides they don't want to participate for one reason or another and either asks to be kicked or goes AFK until he gets kicked, allowing him to requeue and almost instantly get into another dungeon without getting the debuff while DPS has to wait several minutes for another group. This wastes everyone else's time and there is currently no mechanism in place to prevent it. Can we get the same 30 minute debuff for people who get kicked? This would prevent people from abusing the system to bail early from dungeons they don't like or groups that aren't 100% on the ball.

  2. Actually there's a way to completely avoid the debuff (surprisingly many have no idea with) which is to relog and then you can leave at any time.

  3. I know the feel. Today I got to Ajzol Nerub and, after first boss, someone dced and then left, for no reason, saying anything. He was the healer, and was annoying because we all got registered. By the way, they can't enable that because it'll be unfair if you get really disconnected for a short time, get kicked and debuffed.

  4. I keep getting a notification on the Lordaeron server that the RDF is disabled on purpose... is that not the case? And what lvl does it become available at?

    Second of all, increase the debuff time to 1 hour (at least). You don't even feel 30 minutes.
    Third of all, how in the world do you stay in queue for 20-30 minutes on a server with presumably 12000 players?

    That's how it works on retail and how it should work here. Getting kicked should give deserter debuff. So this thread is actually a bug report.

    First of all, you're entitled to your opinion. Sooo... okay.
    Second of all, in my opinion, not everyone has the time like I assume you do. Also, increasing the debuff time won't be "blizzlike"
    Third of all, the server may never know.

    Anyhow, however it works on retail, then I'm for it. After all, that's the main goal right? To be "blizzlike"?

    It's dependent on the balance of each role relative to the others. If you have slightly more than 3 DPS for every one healer and one tank, then over time what happens is you get a DPS backlog, a huge line of DPS waiting to get in a group, every single one of them gets to go in before you. So the only way to make the DPS line shorter is to get more healers and tanks to queue up. Having more players queuing for at least two roles makes a big difference. But when just about everyone wants to queue as DPS, it makes the line get longer and longer.

    I think the classes who are unable to roll as tank or healer should have a small queue advantage. And Blizzard should have thought about that when they built so many DPS-only classes, and only two that can roll all three roles.

    I don't recall that ever happening during Wrath of the Lich King. It may happen on retail currently, but there's a reason we're not playing on retail WoW.

    back in the days at least in the cataclysm servers there was a thing where you couldnt requeue for a dungeon 15 minutes after entering a dungeon via rdf
