I have mixed feelings about this. I agree that endgame items in Icecrown are somewhat devalued because of the points system. However, I think it is just fair to give the players a heads up (like 3-4 weeks ahead) before these changes are made. If I purchased something yesterday and planned to save 30 days worth of points for a preferred ICC item, I'm gonna be upset. The three-day window won't be enough.
There were no hints about this update weeks ago. Or maybe I missed them. Anyway, it's about setting expectations for the players and transparency on the part of the Warmane staff. Again, I don't have issues with the changes, but I'm just a little disappointed by their abruptness.

really agreed to this i was like doing my exploration achivment just to get higher achviemnt points for voting. and then i wake up to this. its disappointing really but if this is really their decision we cant do anything but follow .

So u sayin donor players deserves everything best and can be considered heroes, and common players are like S***. Ty for the update. Dont call the other realms to this topic. First, cata and mop here are dead, lordaeron has rates x1 like retail where u cant buy hc items to ur personal chars, Compared to Icecrown, Cata MOP and Lordaeron are f*****g DEAD! And if this keeps getting bad, soon Icecrown wil be dad too :/

Ok very nice move So **** the guy (myself) who is new here and he was planing for 1 item which it needs 29 points to get and he just farmed 22 points untill now then he knows even 72hrs wont help him at all anyway after that there is nothing in shop he needs to get with the points so he can eat the points..well i was new here and i ****ed myself to reach 1000 achievments now i got the sad face thanks..wow

What staff doesnt understand is that this realm was not new in server so u have lots of guilds full os bis geared players and after u get lvl 80 in alts ur friends can carry u in icc and the other raids will be forgotten now because point shop only will give furious gear or 239 pve :/ I have friends who are playing this for 1-2 weeks and already are going to icc alone with pug raids... why should i get points to get useless items?

i'd like to take this opportunity to ask for the return of some old stuff we had with old VP (mounts/pet/recipes/enchants).
we traded those things for the 264, 271, now they're gone, and with it the old leverage for turning down requests for the said stuff
i am not asking for exquisite items in the coin shop, just a return to what we had which arguably symbolised the generosity of the staff towards the community.
it was such kindness that gave my guild an endless stream of recruits, we sit constantly at 900+ toons and many of whom donated generously to the server without hesitation.
in essence, the old comforts and conveniences would really warm an old players heart

I'm hoping they can bring back the fancy pets and mounts in the point shop. Maybe this can somewhat offset some players' disappointment.

You could do The change with The new year, collecting points requires people To Log in every day also if they don't want To play; for people Like me that are close To The 30 point you need and are collecting them from One month more or less, 3 days are not enought...

Yay, can't get my bauble by 2 days. Glad I committed here and got achiev points on multiple accounts for points.
May as well go play retail if I wanted to raid for gear that I need for pvp. I'd at least get more heads up and consistency from blizz.

Is not just 1 second of our lives to get an item , is actually 30days waiting to get just ONE piece of gear , remember a character has more then 3 slots to fill right? So donators get access to lets say an hc glorenzelg in a matter of seconds ... how do u expect for regular people to get anywhere close to them ? U have any idea how many guilds are killing LK on 25 hc every week ? and then getting the drop ... U basically made the diference beetwen donators and non donators a hell of a lot bigger wich is yeah , p2w , sorry but p2w servers are never good , and u will remember this choice as the one that made u lose a lot .
U keep trying all these new ways of forcing ppl to donate wich is quite the oposite of what u must do to get more money , anyway just delete this mercy , dont pay atention to what ppl say as usual . Its too hard for you to make a poll , to go to anywhere online and check what ppl have to say about this server , u have such a cool thing going and is like u wanna mess it up on porpouse .

This change has had absolutely zero impact on what could or could not be "paid" for. Complaining about that in this specific case is silly. We're talking about free items here. We're not against criticism, but having to deal with strawman arguments just for the sake of venting your frustration is unacceptable.
