1. WoD didn't turn out like MoP, WoD had no content. MoP had too much content.
I was refering to its general pleasure and feedbacks, but thanks anyway for the add

  2. In every expansion after vanilla in only gets worse, worse and worse. It was said cata was better, it turned out to be the worst expansion I guess. MoP came out, it was said to be the real deal, it was meh... WoD came, it was said to be the best one, it came out to be just like mop... now Legion will definately make the magic happen? I really doubt those will have the same pleasure as vanilla-tbc-wotlk did. That's just my expectation.
I know this is just my personal tastes, but for me the real WoW was always vanilla and that's it. Why I don't play vanilla then you ask? Because I enjoy several stuff in wotlk aswell, and sadly there's no decent vanilla private server around as far as I know.
Games develop, tendencies change and I would like to remind people that what the content presents and offers was something that the community asked and begged for in some cases. I didn't like Cata, I didn't like MoP and definitely didn't like WoD in terms of content but Legion is offering me a positive experience so far. Lining everything that is new under the same conclusion wouldn't be wise at all.

I can agree with this, as someone who didn't finish 1 month of his 3 month sub for cataclysm and didnt finish his WoD 1 month sub either, so far Legion is fairly positive. As someone who's a PvPer, Legion simply doesnt offer anything in that regard. It feels very boring and the RNG gearing is just plain awful. So you really gotta have some what of an interest in PvE to really enjoy that expansion, imo. But if you can manage to interest yourself in a mostly pure PvE experience, then you'll surely enjoy Legion. I'm not sure if you have done the Black Temple Illidan quest yet, but that was the funniest and overall most enjoyable quest I have ever done in any of the expansions. I'm excited every day for my world quests and they address a huge issue which I had with the game for a long time, which is that the world felt very empty.

If someone can not enjoy PvE or make it their main focus, then I can surely understand why they may not enjoy Legion. But PvE wise, the first patch is really making a good impression so far.

MoP wasn't bad as a whole. Some people don't like pandas, but that's not a real argument. The pvp, though, was sub-par. However, the expansion had great story-telling and plenty of content to do. WoD was pretty good also. That is, until people realized that the development of the entire expansion was cut with the exception of end-of-expansion zone/raid.

I don't understand what was the problem with "too much content"? Especially since the bulk of it was optional.

It was more that players (the 1 common complaint that I remember off the top of my head) for MoP was the dailies, that if you missed 1 day of them you get behind and that there was too much dailies.

  6. Hi, im kinda new in warmane, anyways im compleatly fascinated with the way that this server in many expansions is greatly configured, so thats why im asking myself this, why warmane has no LEGION?... Hope this dream come truth soon haha.
Haha, NO. Why would anyone want a buggy expansion? I remember when Cataclysm came out on Molten, literally 95% of quests that are meant for 80+ didn't work. And you want an expansion (which is like what, 2 months old on live) to be ported on a private server, with its superior scripting compared to anything before?

  7. In every expansion after vanilla in only gets worse, worse and worse.
I guess with enough tin foil, time, and rose tinted glass, one can ignore that vanilla was the most ****ing awful version of WoW. The game became all round better for the first 3 expansions, then it started going massively downhill for PvP. PvE wise there have been improvements, but it's... you know... PvE... it's still colouring by numbers in the end.

As for why no legion? Because it's a waste of time to either run something that doesn't work or develop the bulk of a new expansion yourself. Just wait a few years for others to do work on it, then consider releasing it if there's still demand by that point (because cata and mop are so popular now... xD)

  8. Legion is garbage. All classes reduced to 5 keybinds. Just think that warrior doesnt even have stances anymore, and dks only have death runes. So dk and war got stripped of their main stuff. no thanks
if you claim DK are bad or boring in Legion its clear you never play it.they are probably the most fun mdps class atm and they are way more fun then any other expansion.frost may be 5 buttons class but unholy is awesomely done in every aspect.

  9. Blizzard said that you can make your private server only if you dont use the latest version of the game i think. Yet still they ***** Nostralius...

  10. Blizzard has never given their consent to any private server.

  11. @Ricks , @ Itsch3ster, it's in the charte on retail, you can't use any asset or software from blizzard or you must face the court period^^, Blizz is a company, Wow is they're product, they've created it, developped it, Nostarius is the last and most popular exemple of what can happen to private servers.

  12. I always laugh to myself when I see topics like this. You must have no IDEA how much development time it takes to create an even barely functional version of expansion X.
