Been away for a while

Last time I was active was 8 months ago, and by that time ToT normal was the endgame of the MoP servers, but since that a lot has changed:
Timeless Isle is scripted, ToT heroic is scripted, SoO has 4 bosses, lots of bug fixes and what not and so on...
Needless to say I need to catch up with the most recent changes, since I'm sitting at a 522 ilvl so my question for u guys is, what do u guys think I should do now in order to catch up with the current endgame?

Farm timeless isle coins? Farm valor? Do ToT HC? SoO? Farm PvP gear?
This is the first time I've ben completely clueless on what to do next in order to catch up, but 8months is quite a long time so I actually need your help on this one...

Play PVP for prideful gear or raid ToT HC / SoO for pve gear. It's that simple.

Just for clarification - SoO has 12 bosses, pugs simply can't do anything more than 4 bosses because everything past Sha of Pride is difficult without good enough DPS and coordination.

Well, I guess PVP is the way to go, considering no one will take a 522 mage to SoO lol
Lost my guild due to my absence to that'll make things a bit more dificult
