in my opinion, having store like this = not good for server
having no store = definitely not good for server, cause since wow came out free to play there always was a vote system or "click" system here that helps ppl play the game more comfortably..
so... it's their call...

What do you think the community was like before-hand? Was it any better? No, it wasn't. The process of bypassing *FULL ICC GEAR AND ACHIEVES* for pugs has always been the same. You do one of the following. 1) Wait for a more reasonable pug, 2) make your own, or 3) join a guild that won't have such ridiculous requirements. This is a community-created issue, and the only real solution to it is within the community itself. No amount of hand-holding or babysitting by the staff is going to make the issue any better.
I understand your opinion. I know where you're coming from. I really do, I play the game too. The thing is, though, the staff has to make tough decisions based on what we believe is healthy for the server and the community. Yeah, people may hate us for taking things away from them. Blame us for their problems. But it's OK, because we can be *THAT GUY* for them. It's something we've always expected, because we always get treated that way by one part of the community or another, regardless of whatever decision we make. But this isn't a sob story. This is more of me hoping that you'll understand the change from our own point of view. We want people to play the game. We want people to have things to do. We want people to be able to enjoy the game. Coin shop changes though? It's harder to adjust those as the server relies on the income to support the tech and the staff. We've already taken a big step forward with that recently by making both Valanyr and Shadowmourne available in-game. Guess what? People complained about that too. "Oh noes, there will be even more Shadowmournes in-game now!"
Anyway, just because we disagree with each other's opinions doesn't mean we don't hear you. Hopefully you'll understand where we're coming from, and perhaps you'll find something later on that you enjoy enough to be able to put this distaste behind you.

By the time you gather that amount of points by 'clicking', you could simply spend it for hunting that item, and if you're lucky you will be able to gather more then just one item in that amount of time. Problem is people got lazy, then they complain how they are not getting enough free stuff, which doesn't make any sense at all. Players need to understand that even this point shop we already have, as it is, is very game breaking. Items 'not worthy enough' are making players to avoid doing content in-game.
If you don't have time to play game 'professionally' than play it casually... if you have time to spend and then you want things by CLICKING, let me ask you this - WHAT THE ACTUAL ****?! After a while when everyone has ALTs geared up to their teeth in points gear, complaints incoming about how community is getting more afk, less raids, game gets boring bla bla bla and who takes the blame? We all miss the old point shop! But let's face it... Buying LK weapon + normal BiS trinkets as first items for your alt... that's a little bit too much. This is an old discussion where everything has been said allready... Move on!
About the gear wall for raids. Do a profession, hustle some gold while farming EoT's and trust me that in a week you got easy 5,5k GS that can get you to a decent pug. Then you will realize that you dont even want that since these pugs are actually a waste of ID, because everyone afks, people simply dont care because they only join with char they dont mind getting saved with... and also because a lot of people just join the pug for 4/12 and then they automatically leave (dbw/mark)... Get a guild, mate! There are guilds that don't mind helping players to gear up, also there are guilds that are looking for equal players to progress together and don't forget you got national guilds. You don't need high-end raiding guild that does 25HC everyday right of the bat.
As mentioned before, this gear/achiev wall to get to raids has nothing to do with shop, rather than with the community. Its not WOTLK thing, its not Icecrown thing, heck its not even WoW thing. Its simply MMORPG thing. Heads up!

Only thing I miss, are the pets and mounts (don't care about vp gear), especially those which don't drop ingame or have 0.01% chance about which i'm not even sure that are on drop tables, like various dragon whelplings or hyacinth macaw.

Don't mind the chance and understand the reason behind it.
But removing the items overnight without a warning of at least 24h so those (like me)
who have been collecting points for ages to have a chance to spend them was just a DICK move, PERIOD.
