account linking?

how does account linking works can anyone explain i tried linking my main account with my alt account and it says
"That account does not belong to you, try again."
both are my account how can system say that this account does not belong to me lol

As far as I know there is no account "linking" system in Warmane.

Looks like you are trying to use the "Merge". The system was meant for players who had more than 10 characters in total when Icecrown was created after merging Lordaeron and Deathwing, so they could transfer the surplus characters into a fresh another account.
