Consider donating the minimum coins on website. This will get you past the queue and, if you play often at peak hours, is well worth the time save if nothing else.

ah kk,btw mercy how are other servers working,i see there aren't ppl like before,like on mop,i see you don't now have warsong for instant 85 on cata ,have u consider lowering slots on other servers that wont reach max never ?

The other realms are working fine as far as I know. It's not necessary to lower the population cap on those realms because the population doesn't get high enough to make them unstable.

Do people not realize that 12k pop on one server is HUGE?! Most servers back in retail days were probably half this size... and they were getting monthly subscription fees to pay for it all.

Much more importantly, can we increase the number of character slots on icecrown? I dont want to get multiple accounts if at all possible, but im running out of space.

More Character Slot's requires a Custom client modification as far as im aware.
