1. New player, questions about a few things.

Hi guys, I wanna play some wow again and I was thinking of going back to WOTLK. Now, I have a few questions.

    1. What's the difference between the 3 realms? I prefer one that gives a true blizzlike experience (everything x1), with no bugs (or very little). I do both pve and pvp.

    2. Is the legendary quest for those 2 items working?

    3. Are all the end-game raids scripted or working?

    4. In pvp, horde or alli? Who is best

    5. What classes/specs are the best on this expansion? I would prefer something that can use the legendary axe. Was thinking of a pally or dk, but I don't now what is OP, so a little help please :)

    6. My last years of wow were pandaria, then I played on cata atlantiss. What should I know when making the transition to wotlk? Any useful advice?

    7. Any other thing about the server that a blizzlike lover should know. Pro and cons.

    Thanks very much!

    1) Lordaeron is 1x, Icecrown is 7x and Blackrock is instant 80 pvp server (leveling rates).

    2) I think it is fixed.

    3) As far as I know the end-game raids are scripted and working. I play on Lordaeron, so not all content are released yet. We are currently on TOC/Onyxia.

    4) From my own experience on Loraderon, I would say Alliance is the best to play for pvp. At least if you are playing on EU-peak times.

    5) I think every class is good in one way or the other. I would suggest paladin or dk if you want to get the legendary axe. (Keep in mind that ICC is not released yet on Lordaeron) - (There is also a lot of people playing paladin on both servers).

    6) Can't give too much advice here, since I'v very little experience from pandaria.

    7) On Icecrown there are RDF, on Lordaeron there is not. Can both be a pro and a con. Also there is no heirloom on lordaeron. There is a point shop on Icecrown.

  3. To go a bit more in depth with the realms, Blackrock is a pure PVP realm, you get instant wrathful and all that, you can't enter actual instances, you can't explore, just to be clear on it. RS for example is just a slaughter ground for players to fight each other. But the pvp there is amazing. Icecrown is the standard WotLK realm, x3 XP rates, x3 profession rates, I think x1 reputation rates. Has all the instances working. with the occasional bug but they constantly work on it. Lordaeron is the hardcore 'sort of retail-like' realm. The website store is extremely limited, I think the latest raid they have released is ToC atm, got no dungeon finder.
As far as choosing a faction, I can say that if you want BG spam, go Horde on Icecrown. There are so many allies queuing that wait times can get quite long at times, while hordes get it almost instant. Win rates are quite balanced, in the end choose what you like.
Not sure about Cata, but MoP is extremely different. In WotLK you don't get automatic training, you gotta buy every single spell and every single rank of it. Because gold rate is x1 and XP rate is x3, I recommend you take some gathering professions early and farm all you can find and dump it into AH. Materials are always sought after and will net you that bit of gold to keep your skill ranks going and afford mounts. Also, you can't fly in Eastern Kingdoms or Kalimdor. Also leveling is much harder overall, they reworked things like mana costs at some point after WotLK.
If you wanna do PVP, I recomment a DK or war from the Shadowmourne wielding classes. They are extremely well balanced. Paladins are extremely powerful in melee, but fighting a mage for example would be a risk to your peripherals and people around you. OP is a lie anyway, it's not the class you see, it's the player.
And please, don't beg for gold :)
