But remember, Warmane said they were not interested in transmog just few months before they actually released transmog on wotlk.
I've personally never said that Warmane isn't interested in the transmog feature on the Wrath realms. I wouldn't have said that because saying it wouldn't be true nor accurate. I know I've said several times that it was something to be considered, and I easily found with the search feature that I've said we'd consider it as early as April of this year.

If it was stated by another staff member, then it was more likely their opinion or they were operating under the assumption of "no custom content" - everyone makes mistakes from time to time, please excuse them.
With that said, a Warlords of Draenor realm is highly unlikely to happen for two very good reasons. First, we don't have the developer man-power to field development for 4 expansions. Cataclysm is already suffering because we are spread too thin with 3 expansions, and MoP also to a lesser extent. Second, Warlords of Draenor was a largely unpopular expansion and we'd need a good reason to develop it other than people "wanting to try something new" or "wanting to try out an expansion they didn't have the chance to on live".
WoD is the most unpopular expansion.
Would be better to release a TBC or Vanilla realm instead.
Yeah, this. Especially since there is 0 reason to have a vanilla server - theres so many good ones and even more coming. A TBC lordearon 2.0 realm could be amazing but idk. 3 expansions is a lot, maybe they ought to drop cata for tbc.
no point to start WoD realm. Meybe in future vanilla or tbc thats all. And finnaly wait until blizzard starts new expansion and prepare for Legion private server, thats all.
This please <3
If we dropped Cataclysm, I'd say it would be to stick to two expansions, not to get a different one.
So no, rooting for Cataclysm to fall won't make other expansions come.
Honestly, these days older expansions are far more popular then newer ones. Though I doubt this has anything to do with the newer expansions' lack of quality but rather the existence of WoW Tokens. It literally slammed most if not all reasons to play on a half working WoD/MoP/Cata private server.
I would suggest Warmane to dedicate themselves on quality over quantity and focus solely on Wrath of The Lich King and let the Cataclysm and MoP realms just die out. If Warmane succeeds at creating a 100% working Wrath server with retail-like population and later in the future add cross-realm futures that exceed the quality of actual retail Wrath, they could hook up all of the Wrath population that sadly was saturated over several hundreds servers other than Warmane.
Here's my 2 cents.
Vanilla : There's a lot of hype about it, huge potential player base, but there are solid servers out there already.
TBC : I spent most of my WoW gaming in a french TBC private. Roughly 95% blizzlike with all tier 4 to 6 raids in near perfect state (yes...). But... for some reason, players don't wanna play private TBC. They love it, they just don't wanna be there.
WotLK : Probably the most successful and the most sought after legacy expansion, along with Vanilla.
Cata : Meh. Unpopular, seeing how Warmane realms turned out is enough to drop this expansions for good.
MoP : This is where I don't reallly know why there aren't more people playing on Frostwolf. It really isn't THAT bad, it's actively maintained (ofc not as good as WotLK) but I think it really does hold a lot of potential. Many players want a good realm with all the QoL that Blizzard implemented and the content really is decent. (Remember it's my own personal pov before getting angry).
WoD : Unpopular, just like Cata. Feels like a transition xpac (think Windows Me or Vista). The games turned into a single players mobile app (not exactly, but this is aspect took over the rest of the content for many player).
Legion : A bit too early to say anything but it look good early on. Really good. But from an emulation point of view, it's gonna take years. Unrealistic to even think about it right now.
TL;DR : If I could pick 2 expansions that have potential for a good playerbase, I'd say WotLK and MoP.
WoD was awful and Blizzard's sub numbers prove that. Honestly any expansion that isn't Vanilla, TBC, or Wotlk really isn't worth that it. MoP was pretty lame, but even that was miles ahead of WoD.
Mop was amazing gameplay wise. Class design, balance, pvp balance (sort of) and so on all were great too. The pve was really well done and the whole expansion was great bar one little thing - the setting was horrible.
I have to disagree with you on each of these points. Design and balance suffered for a number of classes and specs, while others flourished. It was even more pronounced in PvP.
I disagree with you. The petty disdain for "pandas" aside (because, let's be honest, that's all it really is - claiming it is childish is, in itself, childish), this was the strongest point of the expansion. Claiming that the setting was horrible is essentially stating that you are willing to smear the beautiful work Blizzard produced all because you don't like a talking panda in a world where a talking cow is completely fine.
Everything was viable (well everything bar tank specs) and playable to rank 1, class design is personal i think (i.e if you like a class or not) but i, and many others, do like it very much. It retains the ability to shine and perform well as a person from previous expansions (unlike wod with its scripted pvp) while getting rid of most of the clunkyness which plagued woltk. The last pvp season was on of the best overall. (yes lsd and lsd2 were a bit op but still, was the same in s8 too)
(edit: im talking about the last two (or three) seasons not the beginning in which you are right, bm hunters and arms wars were the most op stuff ever)
And most didnt like the setting, most people just dont like asia mmo influences in their (western) mmos - even if it is just styling. Its not about pandas, its about the whole feel and setting of the expansion, most people just dont enjoy a china-esque setting. Its one of the main reason why MoP wasnt as great as it could have been, and even the developers agree. (i personally didnt mind it, the general population however did)
