Gold squish - Does it also apply in Lordaeron?

Hello. Since the first of January 2017 is just a few weeks ago, I'd like a clarification if the Gold Squish to 50% will also happen to Lordaeron. Now, I'm aware of the fact that it's been advertised throughout the realms including Lordaeron, and the post about the squish seems to imply that ALL realm will be affected. But about a month ago or so, I saw a moderator (I think it was Mercy?) stating that the Squish doesn't happen in Lordaeron. Of course that can just be an oversight on my part.

So, which one's correct, will it happen in Lordaeron as well or not? Just for reassurance to help me plan my economy better

According to the news thread about it, yes, it does also apply to Lordaeron.

I had posted about it before, as you mentioned, because I had been told one thing, and then told another. Anyway, it's best to go by what the news thread had stated.

what about the poor people that started recently and are at lv20 etc. Loosing half of your leveling gold/silver will suck

I'm sorry, but I prefer it if the thread is filled with as less salt as possible, so if you'd like to discuss or complain about the squish, please do so elsewhere. I merely created this thread to confirm so there will be no misinformation about the squish plan.
