Game won't launch? Help?

Hi, I'm trying to come back after a long break, I downloaded the client but when I try to launch it nothing happens and after afew minutes this pops up. I have no idea whats causing it? The config file isn't read only

Anyway if you are talking about MoP client follow these steps:
1) Restart your PC
2) close your Torrent client and move your WoW folder away from your Torrent's download destination
3) now right click on WoW folder> Properties> remove "read-only".

It launches now but it either stays on "Connecting" or says I have to convert my account into a battle.net account

use warmane account name, not email address
