To start off, I've played on Lordaeron for a year, I was all in for hard grinding and stuff, but after switching to Icecrown, selling 3 of my chars to gear up a dk for pvp spec, I was really excited when I heard about snowmen coming in few weeks, so I was getting ready to snatch a few items for frost emblems on my mage to gear up a decent pve spec,hard to find decent raids since everyone is obsessed with gearscore.
People aren't mad they aren't getting free emblems, they're just disappointed because you hyped them up too much, I got hyped myself, thought I'd get a nice T10 set and trinket, based my whole gear around it so that I'll have exactly enough hit/crit/haste after I get the items. So I spent last few days waiting for the snowmen to come back so I can get enough emblems before Friday, since I'm heading home for ~10 days, so no wow, and now I'm left with a headache, sore throat and insomnia from lack of eating/sleeping. Not to mention that few days before I got kicked from a raid few seconds before last boss died, either as a joke or to remove competition on gear, out of the blue, provided screenshot to a gm and nothing was done. All in all, really makes people lose will to play.
Didn't really think I'd be out here complaining, but the conclusion of the Christmas events was highly unsatisfying. For all its worth, merry Christmas.

Any update on this? Would be nice if the events on Icecrown were brought back to the original rates... only way it seems the events will be a success

it's back on icecrown, but nobody is doing it, so I formed a raid, went in, it's 5 man, checked the first cow it's 630khp, calculating time needed ASSUMING best case scenario is 2EoF each x30 cows=60 EoF....

Primos are bound to stay high in price, it's not something you can farm, + almost all icc runs primos are reserved, and it costs 23 EoF each, there will never be "enough" of it!

Do people still run snowmen/cow raid on Lordaeron? Because I haven't seen any being made on global chat, my guess is that drop rate was nerfed so hard no one wants to bother?

Same here in Icecrown... They have absolutely destroyed the events of the winter holidays. I am very disappointed, I hoped they had the maturity to recognize a mistake.

Well the most painful thing is that the Warmane staff are not working on the events, or doing something about them, they are just putting the "donation" stuff on the table. Why im saying that? Because THEY ARE STAYING SILENT. Events failed totally, its not even worth doing them, trully a waste of time.
Second thing. The nerfed rates of events. I dont understand why those "crybabys" whos complaining about theyr "hard progress" is crying? Gear up a second character, there is a good chance to do that! You wont be needing to grind so much time again on the secong char. A good opportunity. USE IT.
Im not gonna thank Warmane this year for the events. Cause this years events are a huge dissapointment.

Nah, snowmen are cool, but nothing compares the high tech gadgets like Wondervolt. It's the season of gnomes this time around.
Only wish it wasn't goblins who invented them... :D
as a side note, people kept petting my gnome DK more often for some reason
