1. Sorry i mistook your name for another player post. Edited :) Please forgive me if u can. I didn't check properly who wrote the post, cuz i am sick of players expecting free stuff + this is not first time we see such a topic opened. You know one drama starts from players asking free stuff, then another drama starts as we have too many things obtainable outside the game. Now, if you were staff, what would you do? They have superb tolerance towards players, seriously. It's like dealing with girls on period, we want something but we don't know what is that something. Very strange behavior by the players' side. By the end of the day, all the blame goes on staff side, right?
I would just perma ban them if it was up to me. And personally, I'm quite easy to deal with when I have pms...just throw M&Ms at me and let me roll around on the bed crying.

  2. What a cheesy question. Cringe worthy. Do you ask someone "Hey, will you buy me iPhone 7+ Gold for my upcoming birthday?" Amount of lameness in this thread is amazing. People these days are shameless, and they are proud of it. What a time to be alive.

So? Just because they did it means it is a tradition now and we should get more free things? You know, i sincerely hope that they don't. Just so people like you don't get what they "feel they deserve". Simply disgusting.
"Simply disgusting". Jesus christ it's not as if he just made fun of the holocaust why are you so destroyed by what he asked hahahhaha

  3. Do you know how many would donate if they knew that they will get only an e-mail with "Thank you for supporting our project." instead of coins? That's right, you wouldn't be one of them nor would verminslayer :/
I've donated million vanity items with no regret (items i do not use, items that do not add achivements, like companions).
So these items are equal to "Thanks you" via e-mail.
To be honest, hand-written message by staff with respect would be more rewarding than companions.

My point stands still - players, who have not spent a penny to support this project, should not recieve anything besides fireworks.

  4. I'd rather get a transmog scroll or two to be honest.

  5. and his point was that the majority of the donors would not "donate" if they got nothing in return. meaning they're donating to help themselves first, and support the server 2nd.
They are helping the project regardless of their intentions.

In real life some people donate to look cool, to get reputation or economical benefits, some donate to help.
Can you say first category is not helping ?

never said they weren't helping by donating to get items. merely that the majority wouldn't spend a dollar to keep the server up if it wasn't for getting items in return.

That's where your wrong. I know of a Habbo private server that gained its donations from VIP perks, ranks, everything cosmetic you could think of - But not in game currencies or rare items.

    That server lasted years.

I am living proof that people don't care about gear. I've bought 3 pieces of gear out of my hundreds of dollars spent. I have however, a ton of mounts / mogs / vanity items - All from donating, with the intention of purchasing prior to donating.

Which then makes me wonder, you want Warmane to.. Not, make money, and keep the servers up?

You want your cake, and you want to eat it too, but you are so lazy you want others to spoon feed you? And the cake pays you? While it's free?

Name a private server that doesn't have a method similar to Warmanes, and is comparably as successful.

  8. You even pointed how they are being nice. The Holidays end on the 3rd of January, as you say. Everyone is literally broke, and that 40% increase in donations won't be even touched until after January 3rd.

Why even post it, if it isn't beneficial? Thank you Warmane. If it weren't for it ending on Jan 12th, I wouldn't have any reason to be excited this year. But then again, we aren't getting gold so I should rage and cry.

you still got something in return. it may not have gear, but you still got a reward for donating.

i never said i expect warmane to do anything for free, i've donated myself a few times in the past, firstly for queue skip and then 2nd time for some items. i also never said i was excluded from the group that wouldn't donate just to keep the server afloat. i was simply stating a point, not referring to anyone in particular, just the population in general.

  10. Okay.. Now name me a game that gives equal enjoyment as World of Warcraft without paying a cent.

You want real wow, go pay a sub, you want fake wow, go pay a donation.

Pretty much the same thing. Warmane could probably stop donations and start a 1$ subscription fee for premium servers with better content lol
