Hello kind people !
I'm new to WoW and I would like to ask a question ( stupid for some of you) , but the truth is that I find most of the professions to be useless and I will tell you why I think so :
-too easy to level up and nobody cares about leveling it until hitting the level cap
-most materials are not existing because nobody cares to farm them
-material prices are dumb , some people set really high price for material which is more expensive than lategame material
-nobody create gears from them because most people hit high iLevel in just 2 - 3 days of playtime and doesnt even bother to waste materials and time for them
Why should be like that ?
Well this is what I think .Thank you for reading this , I would like to hear what you think and I hope I'm wrong and already start to level up my profession :)
If you're new I'd definitely recommend getting mining(herb) and skinning. If you keep either up as you level, you'll make a ton of gold by the time you're max level. Most mid level ore/herbs/leather sell more than max items.
There are enough materials to buy just about any prof straight from the AH. I went from 1-450 JC and only mined a bit of outland ore just because it was overpriced.
Yeah some low level things are expensive but that's just the nature of the higher xp rates but this is actually rather helpful to new players.
it's a sellers market on icecrown. nature of high rate servers imo. you hit lvl cap quick and most can't be bothered farming low lvl matts, so they buy them. great for those who actually level proffs while leveling, you'll have all the gold you need for training/mounts etc. just bare in mind that there is a gold squish tomorrow, meaning all gold is cut in half, so don't go sellin anything quite yet.
