Acer Aspires are good laptops and at a fairly good price if you get a refurbished/second hand one.

I heard a friend that can't play league cuz of an 540M nvidia GPU... Besides, if he wants something to last, he HAS to go with an AMD gpu...

To buy something with a GT 920M, it's basically an 520HD... Intel's integrated GPU, better of just getting the Intel one instead...

well your friend is wrong, 540m can handle league 60fps high settings even in team fights at 1366x768..

Been mostly looking on there but in Google/amazon as well. I'm trying to stick to lenovo or hp just cause if I buy it from the manufacturer I get a discount.

My old laptop was Acer Aspire v5 with 4gb ram, I was able to play wow wotlk on minimal settings, but unfortunately it's dead now.

They may run fluently, but not sure, pick the one you like best, they offer exactly the same thing.

Yes, it's higher than the 250 price you wanted to be, but it'll be worth it on the long term... And besides the discount that's on the site right now, I thought that you could have another discount... Those are the only ones worth it, so if you can't buy it now, save some bucks and buy it after, or save even more and buy an actual decent one :P

Amd chips tend to run a little on the hotter side opposed to Intel. So get yourself a laptop cooler and research the best diy laptop cooling tricks. My amd laptop runs so hot sometimes I cannot put it on my lap. Just keep that in mind.

Mine did too... Changed thermal paste, cleaned on the inside... It used to be at 90ºC on idle, browsing, watching videos, after I did some maintenance on it, the temps dropped down to 50ªC... Do the same, laptops need maintenance aswell, every year (less depending on the model and the dust it accumulates).

not the gpu's fault, your friend can't handle basic system maintenance and probably has 4 copies of windows defender pando media booster driver optimizer pro and god knows what else.
