A few days back this stranger player approached me and said that he knew I was an old player, that I had many BiS characters and that since I was in a good guild, I could help him because he doesn't play much and his account would be safe in my hands
He said he would give me his account so I could help him gear his dk up to which I promised to do later (just to shrug him off and avoid him), logged off and forgot about him for two weeks.
Now he's found me again and he started asking over and over again for help to gear his dk up. He also whispered me his account details which I have not dared touch nor I intent to touch.
I'm feeling rather uncomfortable with the fact that this guy is obviously just asking me and nobody else do stuff I do not wish to do, and also for security reasons because I'm not sure if he can use my IP to steal my accounts or to make some false report.
While I know a simple /ignore migh be enough, I just want the community and GM's advice me on how to approach this situation.
you can do 3 different thing:
1. Say to him something like "Sharing account information with random stranger is bannable so stop contacting me or I am gonna report you"
2. put his characters on "ignore list"
3. Open a tick in-game, explain everything and a GM will tell you what he thinks about that.
take screenshots and report them for account sharing/trading. they'll be banned, problem solved.
Account trading and giving away is bannable. Account sharing is not advised but is not bannable. But while account sharing alone is not against rules, the way he does it might result in a ban so you can still try to report it if you have screenshots.

i looked at it as he's tryin to give away his account to get someone else to level it up. i should of said selling/trading rather than sharing.

Giving away would be making someone else the owner of the account and not using it anymore. This looks like account sharing to me since he just wants a char leveled or geared and still wants to use the account himself.
