Leveling is horrible (Questing/Dungeoning)

I primarily came on this server to enjoy the dungeon aspects of the WoW RDF, however with the current 7x xp bonus rate, it's a horrible experience.

Firstly I level up so fast I actually cannot earn enough gold off quests/drops to spend on spells at the trainer. at level 17 I am stuck at what would be a lvl 12 spell configuration.

Secondly, once I got into a dungeon, I wasn't even remotely equipped for tank so I was forced to queue as dps (a really ****ty geared/spell configuration). My damage, health and mana is so low that it's disgustingly, painfully, slow experience running through dungeons.

So as the title says, leveling sucks on this server, it's not enjoyable what so ever and I can't for the life of me understand why this server is so popular when the quality of gameplay is total ****.

So please, enlighten me.

people arent playing here for the low lvl "experience". rather, people play on icecrown for the high rates. if you want some slow-paced lvling, I would recommend to you the Lordaeon realm :)
also, "quality of gameplay" you complain after an hour of gameplay...

You need to level with one profession that gives you gear, and another that gives you materials you can sell on the AH. E.g. leatherworking and skinning for a rogue.

Believe me, x7 leveling is way easier, but you can't necessarily use the same leveling tactics you use on x1.

The reason for that is a bug.
The XP reward for completing rdf doesn't scale with the increased xp rates. It gives only x1 XP.
That bug makes dungeons for leveling completely worthless compared to questing.

Took me 48 hours (2days) to lvl from 1 to 80 with a mate by dungeons + quests.

(i have to add, i was always queueing as healer and she as tank... we had like always dungeons available by the rdf)
