WotLK How would I get my gold back if I deleted a low level character?

Apparently, even though a level 19 character had about 1700 gold I have no option to get my gold back for the Horde side.

Is there no way to restore my gold? I've contemplated time and again to start on Horde side, but when my character was deleted, I lost my gold as well.

they dont keep logs... so i dont think it is possible
