Technical Donating and my card not working

Hello, I'm from the U.S. and my birthday is today so my girlfriend decided to donate for me for a gift, but we tried multiple times using the Visa/MasterCard option(she has a MasterCard) and it just kept saying transaction wasn't complete. We made completely sure all the information was right, but it just wouldn't work. Any help?

I would just go the easy route and get a subway giftcard and donate with that instead. They have the reloadable ones up to $500 and it's always worked 100% from me.
