    burning crusade interest

First off I am excited that a well known and stable private server development team is making a tbc realm. I am not particularly interested in high rates or a cash shop though, which means I do not think this is a realm that I would play on. The team keeps stating that they may release a Lordaeron type server for tbc if the interest is high enough. They also are stating that forum posts and messages do not contribute to their decision on whether they will do that or not. So my question is what will be the gauge of whether or not to release a 1x server without a cash shop. A stable 1x server without a cash shop for gear is something that I know myself and I hope many others would be interested in, but without a way to communicate that how will we know if we could ever get that from Warmane.

I for one don't have any interest whatsoever to level x1 exp for 1000000-th time .

and how do u think to mantain a server with 0 income?
Do u donate hundreds/thousands of $ by your self?

I dont know how is possible to be so egoist to pretend something from someone FOR FREE. In this case we speak about a server but often this happen in the real life as well. When the ppl come to u and ask, can u do this and this for me? I can do it, but im too lazy to do it, and i want some1 else that do it for me.

high rates make it easy for new people to get started, its the end game most people are interested in.

I dont mind cash shop if it is like on Lordaeron, I could turn in-game gold into coins to use on services which is cool if one does not want to invest real money.

I can barely see what i'm writing on mobile, dark grey text on dark grey background doesnt work too well.

Spoken like a true socialist. Many private servers go belly up for having no, to little income. I for one don't see the point in worry about how players get their gear, quite honestly, it's none of my business and I just don't see how you could possibly care either. Gear is gear, the expansion itself is over 10 years old, it's not like we're talking about something new and exciting. TBC might be "new" here on Warmane, but Warmane didn't create the expansion. A large number of people get what i'm saying, if Blizzard was to release a Vanilla, TBC, or WoTLK progression server, they'd charge you 15 a month for it, plus find a way to keep faction, race, gender, etc changes on their shop along with all their pets and mounts. Rather you like it or not, World of Warcraft is a business. It's a product. We live in capitalist world. Get over it. People have to be paid. No one works for free, at least not for to long.

BTW: You do realize that WoW's gameplay is completely based off of a capitalist model right?

Quest rewards are done for profit and rewards.

    Raiding is done for rewards.

    PVP is done for rewards.

    Professions... pure profit.

Better get use to loving capitalism. You're living in a world full of it. Socialism is a kids dream.

I think everyone is misunderstanding the point of this post. I am not saying that they just need to put up a free server that has no profits but warmane has stated that if people were interested in a 1x server without the ability to purchase gear they would consider it. I am on of those people and want to know what it would take to get such a server. I understand why people enjoy high rates and if people want to donate absurd amounts of money to get gear so be it. I prefer 1x servers with out a gear shop though due to the fact that people actually build attachments to their characters and tend stick around for longer.

They would only open a 2nd tbc realm if the first one had high population and high queues out of necessity.

you misunderstand the point again. U want a server 1x shopfree, so u want that someone (warmane co.) spend money without get money because u want a server free.

Imho the open a second server ONLY if they got an amazing income from the first.
So they can use the income from the first to mantain the first and the second.

They have already learn the lesson with lorderon.

Could any staff member answer this? I' love to read a clarification of what will take, the requirements of expectation, etc, to start another type of tBC realm with these "hardcore" characteristics. I and more people would be interested in this. We know it's not in the near-future plan.

Interest in the expansion. As in, Outland reaching Icecrown levels of population and popularity, and still having enough people in queues to justify a second server, giving us a reason and some monetary room to open another server that would simply leech donation resources. If Outland is a huge success and there's still need to expand, a retail-rate server could be considered (do not skip over the emphasis) - or if you prefer, Outland is the focus, a x1 server would be an "extra."

Not sure how you can say this, when you clearly said this.

Cause that's exactly what you were saying, no misunderstanding by the community, just back pedaling by you. Sorry, but in my opinion, the 1st BC server should be exactly like Icecrown, with a reduced exp rate. 5x is good, however 3 times everything else. Why? look at the results, it caters to more of the population than the 1x no shop people.

There is a market for what you and others like you want. however, it cannot exist without the funding of people like me, the ones that donate for some of the gear, that enjoy the servers here and don't mind paying for a piece every now and then to get into the thick of the action a bit faster. because the fact is, the server and experience you want CANNOT exist on good will alone. So please stop trying to make it seem like "1x hardcore" is what is wanted. If that were the case Lord would be the the most populated server and Icecrown would have blackrocks population.
