"Equipment only" in character trade

If I select the "equipment only" option when selling a character, does a buyer get items from the character's inventory and/or bank? If not, what happens to those items?

if you select "equipment only" the buyer will NOT get bank and bags item. Where does they go? lost forever ( only when someone buy it btw)
