There are some really easy fixes that can be done, increase cooldowns on horde racials, switch to pve instead of pvp, or capping horde population. The free faction change solved nothing cause as another player posted in a different thread, you lose your reputation gains, your mountsm as well as other faction related stuff if horde switch, so why would they? Plus it seems to me, the only logical reason why nothing has been done yet is 1 of 2 reasons:
1. They are still thinking of a fair and safe way to balance factions
or
2. They are making so much $ off donations from horde players being in large quantities and they are donating to skip login ques due to the huge population, especially in their faction, that they just gunna ride it out.

Yep, this is exactly why the issue needs to be addressed and to give incentive to level as Alliance or make it a PvE server temporarily, probably won't happen though and it'll end up being 90:10 H:A.
Hello guys the fastest most efficient and fair solution about faction inblance is simple.
Make it PVE so all will be happy.Hordes wont have to change faction and allies wont loose their time
at graveyards due to 10 yers old group gankers.
And far as the thing about wow being always open world pvp etc etc,thats just bull****

why will it end up 90:10? you all complain about 39:61 faction ration but seems like you all ignore the fact there is 5k alliance players online.5k !!! that is way way way more then enough population to perfectly sustain peoples need of raid/bg/dungeon.other TBC servers out there dont even have 5k total population and here you complain about ration its so lame.true you cant do much open world,unless you in big groups but on other hand you have instant BG pop and can gear up for PVP faster then horde.as for Leveling part well..use you brain for 1 sec.level as horde free transfer alliance later on...i am sure lots of people are doing that.

Why would anyone want to be Alliance at the moment?
1. Racials suck. Whether or not racials abilities really make a difference with casual players v.s hardcore players is irrelevant because people are rolling horde for those abilities none the less. The number s speak for themselves.
2. It's a gank fest. Random world pvp is fun. Getting continuously killed because your outnumbered or out leveled is not.
3. Low population. Even if you manage to surpass the BS above, do you really want to play end-game with all 20 level 70s chars? It'll be dead end game Alliance side. People will just quit playing or roll Horde.
It's just a vicious cycle. I think it should be nipped in the bud right now before people really begin to settle and it permanently becomes a horde controlled server. Rather than complain about it, I want to offer several solutions (some of which have been suggested):
1. Possibly reevaluate Alliance racials. My suggestion is add Every Man for Himself to the Humans.
2. Offer some sort of incentive: boosted 30 character with a free mount and bags.
3. Disable pvp in select zones so Alli can quest in peace for a bit.
4. Temporarily disable the world PvP (except for PvP areas) until the numbers are more favorable for the Alliance.
So they can't cap players at 7,5k but infact can remove racials just out of the game and add faction based xp boosts. That's the biggest pile of **** i've read todays, grats m8.
/e: i was on servers before, where character creation was disabled for horde. That can be done 100%
yes :) they cant cap cause you choose your racial AFTER you log in.. you say this is BS but lot of ppl like this faction based xp :) and yea better idea than disable horde char creation since if someone come to play he wanna play with his friends.. you cant force anyone to play on alli

top 20 guilds 9 alliance 11 horde....you are right alliance side is dead no one doing any PVE at all....
There are indeed quite more hordes than alliances; however, I'm horde and I've been killed as many times as most alliances have... From lvl 30 to 35 I couldn't be in STV, it was simply unbearable, allys camping the questing zones and such. But I saw that happening by the horde as well... so it really isn't just a "oh hordes are such gankers, poor alliance", no. Last night in Arathi Highlands I had 3 allys on me, roughly the same levels as I was (38), guess what? I fought back, and actually killed 2, somehow. Anyway, this is irrelevant, what I really mean is that there are gankers on BOTH sides, sometimes you get lucky, sometimes you don't.
But yeah, it is true there needs to be some more balance into account as for the alliance/horde player base. As someone already stated somewhere above, I believe locking the horde creation characters for a bit could be beneficial to a certain extent. Or give out some free mounts, or some gold, or some other bonus they could find not to be game-breaking, but beneficial.
