I've been hacked, and Warmane is twiddling their thumbs.

The other morning, I logged on to my account, which the info is only known by me, and discovered that all of the items in my inventory have been sold and my gold mailed off to another account. I did not do this myself. I would rather be playing than typing this thread, but this is pretty frustrating. I wrote a ticket using the same exact format that Warmane has provided on their forums. I explained what happened: what I lost, the time frame in which the gold was stolen, and my character's name. All of the information that I could possibly know was given. I have not fallen victim to any phishing links nor keylogging incidents. I'm not careless with my info.

The GM's response was essentially: "your fault, here's a link to change your password"

I would post a screenshot of his response but I would probably get a slap on the wrist for doing that too. Even though it would be the easiest thing to check connection and mail logs over the time span that I provided, paired with my characters name, they're deciding to take no action. At this point it's not about losing gold, but feeling like the developers literally don't have my back.

I hope this has an impact on the community in the future. Back to farming everything I lost!

I am sorry to hear about your loss, but the security of your account is in your hands.

You should consider enabling Two Factor Authentication (phone), just in case your account or even mail information is known by someone.

Send an email to [email protected]

GMs cannot help you with such things. Only our support deal with account thefts.

Yep, I read the forum posts before I play, I'm fully aware I'm responsible. Just floored that nothing is happening about it.

    Added this morning.
