Hello everyone, I am fairly new here and I believe that an introduction is in order before I start talking about my main issue with Outland. I first started playing WoW back in 2006, I was a heavy RPer and loved everything that the game had to offer back. WoW was good to me for many years and was much more than a game to me, I simply cannot let this issue go unaddressed. Before I get into the details allow me to first share a memory that was only made possible because of this game.
Come along with me to my high school days. It was lunch hour and like most days I was sitting alone in the cafeteria, minding my own business watching Naruto on my iPad, with headphones of course. I was watching the Chunin Exam episode where Sakura finds her inner strength and cuts off her hair in order to defeat her enemies, who were clearly much stronger than her (you go sakura!). I digress. Back in the cafeteria a school bully, who we will call Abnel, decides it would be funny to throw a milk carton at me.
Having spent most of my childhood watching all of the greatest anime fight scenes I easily sensed the projectile approaching at an alarming pace. Needless to say, I dodged. At this point I turned around, looked Abnel straight in the eye and grinned. As i turned back to continue watching my episode it was as if though I had stepped in a freezing trap, I was unable to move.
My headphones had become disconnected from my iPad during all the commotion and now Naruto was playing at full volume for everyone in the cafeteria to hear. I was so embarrassed and stood there ashamed for many minutes. Then I remembered a quest I had done the night before where Lady Sylvanas praised me for my brave and honorable deeds. I had nothing to be ashamed of, if i was brave and popular in Azeroth I could also be those things in real life! I now had the power to break out of the binding spell, I popped sprint and darted out of the cafeteria. That day I got signed out early and had my mom switch me out of that school.
As you can see WoW played a very important role during the early years of my life. That was why I was so excited to play on Outland when I heard about it. This past month has been great and although most people are friendly there are some who remind me of Abnel. Earlier today I encountered one of those players. Farming ore to level my professions I was attacked by a Horde player who knew not of my skill. After quickly sending him to the Shadow Realm I was messaged by his level 10 alliance character and repeatedly insulted and threatened.
It is truly sad that there are many players who feel the need to harass others in order to get what they want. I would like to help keep Outland free of these types of players and ultimately create a safe/friendly environment for all to enjoy.
Thank you for your time.
Guzzler, the Rogue (3x Glad)
First of all welcome to Warmane! I'm so sorry that you had this bad in-game experience but sadly, these players do exist on the outland realm and I agree that everyone of us needs to work together to help make this a safe/friendly environment for all players. On the bright side, these type of 'toxic' players or 'Abnels' as you call them are a minority and overall this server is full of friendly players! I want to thank you for sharing your experience and hope to see you around Azeroth!
After the first sentence I'd say "OK, lemme just grab my shotgun", right click his name and select "ignore". Problem solved, he can go lvl up another char to 10 and waste even more time only to get ignored again.
And while this dude clearly has some serious mental isssues, it's not like he's actually gonna come to your house and beat you, so yeah... there's no need to write an essay about that on forums. Or whatever this is about, I can't be bothered to read it xD
Then don't bother writting, you just turn him down even more... Jesus.
Regarding the harassment, I'd say to you to come to Medivh, you will enjoy the lore as you did back then and you will definately meet nicer people in average to Outland.
If you do so and you roll Alli, /w Icar in-game and I'll gladly assist you with anything! Cheers!
EDIT: You were the only guy watching Naruto in your school? I mean, why would you get embarrassed? I remember in mine that almost everyone watched it, as we did with Inuyasha (was it written like this?). Damn, man, that is weird for me.

Yeah, why did you even post? If you can't be bothered to take 45 whole seconds to read a post, don't waste everyone else's time clicky-clacking your little finger tips on your keyboard to put down a dude that is looking for support from this community.
Preeetty sure he's trolling... It was super cringy to read, though.
The guy who whispered him with lvl 10 alt obviously has some mental issues, though in some cases you just have to do it. Not when a high level player takes ores away from you, but when they're going out of their way to make your life miserable with ganking and/or corpse camping. In that case it is very much called for.
Unless the player plans on repeatedly levelling to 10 for the rest of the day they aren't going to bother you. Even if they do, simply refer to the above. We're all adults here now (well, most of us anyway).
I just wanted to add something to everyone else saying /ignore. There's a saying on the internet, "don't feed the troll." Although you won't get much satisfaction out of it, nothing will piss trolls off more than not being able to end on their terms. I swear you'd make this guy furious if you just said, "k" and add ignore him.
He'll message you, "GO KILL URSELF BRA" and get *so and so is ignoring you*. Game-over troll!
Jesus Christ, it's like OP went to the autism store and emptied all the shelves. Roleplay, anime references, delusions of grandeur, "I'm offended", associating real life situations with WoW, it has it all.

He wrote a post, that is why it was written that way. You, you are young, and that is why you express yourself with these words. Damn original. For shame.

Not to mention all the "3 times glad rogue" bull****. My head actually hurts after reading his post.

Dr. Neil Miller: What about Santa's reindeers? Have you even seen a reindeer fly?
Charlie: Yes.
Dr. Neil Miller: Well, I haven't.
Charlie: Have you ever seen a million dollars?
Dr. Neil Miller: No.
Charlie: Just because you can't see something, doesn't mean it doesn't exist.
