1. ISP lag issue (Fastweb) only on Outlands

    Hi guys

Me and my friends (10 players, all with the same ISP, Fastweb) are having huge HUGE lags when we go to a populated zone. Some places are forbidden for us now (orgrimmar and shattra for example 20 seconds lags) and even in a 10 man raid like Kara we got 10 seconds delay.
There are few facts that i hope can help:

    1) This happens just in the Outland server (we went to another overcrowded zone like Dalaran on Lordaeron server but we got 40ms/50 ms delay)
    2) The more people we got close, the more we lag, normal and hc are playable but not optimal.
2.1) The more spells raid members cast the more we lag (is not a FPS drop, i got a very good pc and i can play high details on new games)
    3) My ISP is famous for giving to more users a single ip with a single pubblic ip associated with more private ip (one to many)
    4) All the troubles started the 03/07/2017, before that date we did not have any kind of problem

What can we do to fix this?
I already called the technical support, we tryed to ping the warmane server (logon.warmane.com) but 27ms seems very nice.
Also i have a 100mb/s download - 20mb/s upload fiber line so is not a classical connection issue.

If you need more information or prefer speaking directly we can use discord to coordinate

Edit: seems that the problem is affecting more people in different servers

  2. Hi! I'm in the same situation of Valandir and I've already sent an email at the Warmane's support, many days ago, about this specific issue.

This is the quote of my email (dated 5 July):

    "Hi,

from yesterday I've expected a very high latency (like 20k ms) on every hour of the day, leading to an unplayable game.
I've not changed anything in my internet settings, nor the ISP, etc; I also can still play all the other games and wow servers without any problem and with my usual 10-15ms.

    Other tests I've already done:
    - cleared cache of the game by deleting WTF and WDB folder;
    - disabled every addons;
    - started the game with another folder/installation, which I always have on my HDD and which has 0 modification (it literally asks you to accept the T&S at the first start).

    My account name is ********.

Can this be looked into, please?

    Thanks,
    Pierpaolo"

    ---

I've also tried to create a new PG and I can play "almost" without lag, till I get to Ogrimmar; as already explained by the above person, when you are nearby other players the lag starts to get worse and worse.
The game is unplayable for me and ten days are passed.

    EDIT:
Here's a list of other players with similar problems:

  3. +1
    I've got 25k ms in Orgrimmar, 200 in a 5man dungeon, 2500 in a 10man raid.
I'm forced using a VPN in order to play and the latency is pretty stable so the fault lies in the connection between my ISP and your servers.

  4. same here (fastweb as well) hope someone give us any kind of idea to try and fix this...

  5. @moderators any information about this issue?

  6. Still waiting for an answer, at least 10 players cannot enjoy the game this way.
My isp told me that is all fine, can i have a little help from warmane staff?

  7. im having a simmilar prob on icecrown server (no special/extra people around tho)
just since a few days been having some weird ms increases to where i get teleported back a few seconds as well

Sorry to ear that. Getting teleported back is really frustating, on outland server is quite common for us to not even move :(

We are using a vpn, we put a little patch but is still very frustating (vpn is adding a lot of delay).

Still waiting for any answer from warmane's staff

  9. Try to avoid VPN tho. As for issue, if you guys use GearScore addon, disable it please. And see how game reacts on it.

    Thanks for the answer.
We already tryed without addon but just to be sure i've checked again, disabled Gs but is still the same. The more people we get close the more we lag (and get teleported back a lo t of times): Is like our connection cannot handle having too much data (but i got a 100mb/s on download and 20mb/s on upload speed).

I gave one many days ago in a different thread on the same thing. Our host isn't having issues, our servers are acting stable, an issue on our end would affect either all players equally or specific classes/specializations/skills (if some update had a bug causing delay issues), not just people using this or that ISP. It sounds like some issue in the middle of the route being used by the ISP causing packet loss, and that's beyond our responsibility or control. The very fact that using a VPN solves it shows that if you use an alternate route (the VPN's), you connect fine, so the issue isn't at our host, but on the path your ISP chooses to reach it.

The fact is that is we try to ping logon.warmane.com we get a good response time

    https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachmen...ingwarmane.jpg

I've called my isp, they asked to ping the server and to tell the the results. When i told them they said it was all fine.

So, any advice about how describing the problem to them?
    Thanks

  13. Well, ping on IP not logon.warmane.com also you can describe it that whenever there is more data that you have to load in-game, you start to lag.

  14. Four full weeks and still can't play on Icecrown. Every other server is fine 90% of the time but Icecrown is beyond f*cked when trying to connect via the ISP at my gf's house. On my internet, connection is fine. What is the IP to the game server so that I can complain to my gf's ISP about blocking or throttling the traffic? If you can't give out the IP, then at least give out the port so that I can have them stop. I've tried netstat but all it gives is that "ns3063978" bs. It's super annoying as I donated about 4 weeks ago and pretty much since then, I now have the issue. Never had it before that, and then the day after donating, it goes to sh*t.

Well i dont know about that but, i live in southeast EU and im having this same issue, obviously im not using fastweb and my lags have started at about the same time, at first it was still playable with small ms spikes and now its just not playable, i login and i have 30ms which used to be my normal raiding ms 4 weeks ago but when i start raiding i start lagging, its not consistent lag its just spikes that can go up to 1-2k and a game freeze for enough time to make me dc myself and login again.Last night i was unable to attend raid due to the low ping of 6.5k inside icc.
ISP says its not on their end, u say its not on your end, ive reinstalled windows and everything so i can say its not on my end, then on whos end it is ?
Im playing Lordaeron since classic and i have never had ms issues esp one caused by me or my ISP.
