Any idea how enslave demon works?

So from what i`ve noticed some world elites and some mobs in instances are enslaveable, i have no idea if this is unintentional or blizzlike. I was searching for some source to clarify this but nothing comes up.

yes it does work on elites.

There are more demons that can be enslaved, some are missing abilities but the list is more or less accurate.
