WotLK Coin Gifting Problem !!!

i have a Question about coin gifting system.
one my friends sold some items via trade system in Icecrown Realm and it's been 72 Hours since he sold the items but the eligible amount changed to 1 , funny things is he has 23 coin !!! what's the problem here .... please help
