1. Possibly Returning Player to WoTLK Realm, Need to ask a question.

    Hello people,

As the title suggests I need to ask a question concerning the viability of returning to WoW and Warmane Servers as I have left back when Warmane was still Molten WoW.

Since I am moving to a different country I have to leave my gaming rig behind and take a laptop with me (Please don't shoot me). As such I would like to know if my laptop hardware is enough to run WoTLK at a stable rate (It's a really old one). The specs are:

    Intel® Core™ i3-4005U, 1.70 GHz.
    Intel HD 4400 Graphic Card,
    6GB RAM (Or 4GB, can't remember exactly).

I apreciate the help and hopefully I'll join you lads soon!

    Kind regards,
    Qaestor

  2. I just tried BC on a new very cheap laptop I bought just for university with these specs:

    Intel Celeron N3060 1.60 GHz
    Intel HD Graphics 400
    2GB RAM

At 1920x1080 and most graphics settings on max or near max, I'm getting around 35fps average in the blood elf starting area. I think your processor is quite a bit faster than mine, the graphics card is about the same though your 4400 is slightly faster, you have much more RAM obviously but I don't think such an old game would utilize much of it. I think you should get a higher fps than my laptop thanks to your processor and RAM. Perhaps around 45-50 average? *shrug* I don't remember if WoW was more CPU or GPU intensive.

I remember the fps drops considerably in crowded cities (eg Lagrimmar), large scale pvp and raids, so will probably have to turn down the resolution in those cases to maintain stable fps.

    Hope this helps.
