1. Anyone else been getting hit with DMCA Claims lately after downloading client?

Was checking my Comcast email and this popped up a few days after redownloading the 3.3.5 client.

  2. It's worth noting that them monitoring exactly what you're doing without your consent is against the law in the US.

Also downloading an older version of a free client is not against the law. Your ISP is just assuming you're downloading something illegal because it's a torrent. (Comcast being Comcast.)

That is some shady crap right here. This is definitely the final straw I have with Comcast. Guess I'll just use my phone's internet hotspot to play here for now.

  4. i got the same thing but i have AT&T

  5. Anything ever come of this? I Received one aswell from com-cast today and was wondering.

  6. It's not ISPs that are monitoring it. As you can see from the screenshot in first post, the company monitoring it is IP-Echelon. When you are using torrents, all others who are downloading it can see your IP. They use that IP and send DMCA request to your ISP, which forwards it to you.

  7. Problem is not downloading, it's the sharing and using p2p technology.
Limiting upload to 0,0 kb/s won't help you. Use vpn, seedbox or direct downloads.

E: Idk about your country laws, but in my country you won't get penalty for downloading from internet.
