Burning Crusade Problem with the Violet Eye Ring Karazhan

Hi,
So I have a problem, I bought a char from the trade forum on warmane with only the things the char was wearing.
When I went to The Violet Eye at kara to retrieve my ring (since it was gone from the char when I logged in) I can't get it back, since I dont have it to trade in.
So I tried deleting the quest and retaking it to retrieve the ring. But now I cant retake the quest.

Does anyone know how I can solve this, is it even possible?
