1. Duel zone

    Hi, I come here asking that you eliminate the duel "zone", as in make this zone unlimited, or atleast make it much bigger.
    My main is a balance druid, and I suffer greatly because of this very limited duel zone. I need room to run around, hide, etc.
    The zone is VERY small and annoying. Other classes and specs suffer from this too, mainly casters and hunters, but also even melees.
    Please change this, thank you.

    The area is NOT big enough, it is very small. There are some duels that are very hard as it is, say against shadowmourne wielders, with no time to "play" around it, as you say. Also if you start the duel too far, you cannot go hide behind a tree. And I not talking about abusing the tree, just going there for a moment to heal or such. Running in a straight line is actually the best option you have to gain distance from an attacker, and you cannot do that at all with this annoying small duel zone. You basically need to run in circles, making you lose distance, and lose duels.

    1st: duels are quick 1v1 combats, healing clases are meant to use their distance, cc and casting speed to heal themselves, not just the LoS an object can provide.
    2nd: duel zones are big enough for a hunter to be max range and still be in the duel zone, so no, duels zones are not too small
    3rd: moving in a straight line is indeed the best way to gain distance, but this is not world pvp, this is a duel, you cant run forever, you need to turn back and fight eventually, the edge of the duel zone is meant for that
    4th: the best place to be when attacking is at the target's back, and you wont achieve that running in a straight line, so yeah, running in circle does work.
    5th: you dont need to start on the edge of the fighting zone, start close enough to do damage but not melee range (unless you are melee), after that, kite in a circle pattern, you will see it works much more than just "turning around and run"

    i cant tell you how to properly use your class/spec during a duel, you will have to figure that out on your own, but if 99.99% of the server can duel with that size, you should be able to do so as well

    I have to ask, why are you advocating in favor of the current zone ? If you play a melee class as your main maybe you prefer it that way, cause the current zone is probably overall in your advantage.

    Me personally I suffer from it, and refuse to do duels in the current form, as it quite tips the scale in my disadvantage.
    Heck I remember when I did duel, most duels would end up in "fled", as in out of zone.

    1 - true, you can be max range with hunter if you go near the edge but if we both start at the middle, i'll quickly get to you. And no, running in circles will not work mainly because i won;t just follor you around in a straight line in circles. There is a way to close the gap since you are fighting in a circle. Some classes or specs don't have a lot of cc to keep you fully at distance while fighting in a circle at least not vs some specs.

    As some specs you can easily lose a fight vs a class you could win with ease if the duel zone would be a bit bigger.

    2 - depends on your class. If you are a range class then you are supposed to kite and run.

    3 - no it's not unless you are melee and he is clearly talking about caster's pov.

    Maybe infinite duel zone wouldn't be too good but double would certainly be.

  8. my pve main is a warrior yes, but i mainly pvp as a hunter. there is enough space for range to kite around yet not too much to be impossible for melees to catch them, thats why i think duel zone has the appropiate size

    A hunter has alot of cc, mobility and does not have heals, so he can work around the small zone.
    Now take a balance druid, his cc's are hard casts (except nature's grasp, which has a cd), needs to heal, needs to run fast in travel form, or with dash in cat form, needs to hide behind big objects, and so the small zone just does not work.
    Sometimes if you start the duel too far from say a tree, you won't even be able to reach the tree without exiting the zone.

    Thus dueling zone must be made larger, just so that you don't need to change your ways.

  11. boomies can tiphoon for slow and kiting apart from rooting, using cyclone and using insta cast hots on themselves like rejuv and life bloom. as i said before, i wont tell you how to use your class, but if 99.99% of the server can, you should too

  12. Druid doesn't need that much room, you only have a root, if you feel so victimized be one of those people that always LoS the tree and fence.

  14. Boomies just pop starfall, insect swarm, and moonfire and cast a couple wraths and laugh as your victim dies....no need to run around and heal yourself xD
